Many strangers meet in Angleston
From far across the Fane a small group of travellers have come to
Angleston. This night they seek shelter in the Adventurer's Guild and form an
unlikely alliance.
From the hidden forests of the Unai comes Gram, a barbarian warrior on a
sacred quest to discover the cause of an ill that plagues his lands.
From the nearby village of Barrowbridge comes Frez, a bard seeking adventure in
the big city.
From the halls of Godmore comes the young monk Ged Tornson for reasons of his
own.
From the frozen lands of the north comes the Ythaldin ranger Aerik
Stormshadow, seeking answers to unrest in his own forests.
From the lands of the Dwarves comes Draegor, a warrior and a skilled
rogue.
From the Gotan Temple of Air comes Linnet Minvejr, a priestess of
Taranis.
From the far north comes Savo Ganthor, a skilled warrior with a dark
past.

Murders in the Dive - the first quest
New to the city and in need of both funds and an excuse to get to know the
city better, the newly formed band of adventurers are given their first
assignment by the Guild: Find and bring to
justice the murderer of a series of victims from the Dive area of Angleston.
The quest will lead the adventurers all over the city and below it in their
quest for the truth...

The case of the Rat Thane and the Tanner's Daughter
The first lead in the search for the murderer leads to a Tanner who's daughter
has gone missing. Following the trail to a network of caves, the party
confronts the Rat Thane, a crazed man seeking revenge for the Tanner's slaving
past. The party defeats many rats and finally the Rat Thane himself to rescue
the Tanner's daughter, but alas this is not the murderer they seek.

The Rat Pack and the Adventurer's Guild
Impressed with their deeds so far, Gudris and Thane Diesa welcome the members
of the newly formed Rat Pack into the Adventurer's Guild, granting access to
the private members resources. The Pack waste no time picking out a favourite
table in the bar.

The Raven
During investigations into troubling events at the Blood & Ash Gladiators
School, the party has their first experience with death when Frez falls to a
particularly powerful blow. In the spirit realm Frez talks to a raven who tells
him that "all is not well here. The shadow grows". It seems that some souls
are not finding their way to the lands of the dead as they should.

The Mystery of the Blood & Ash Gladiator School
Having fought crazed panthers in the streets of Angleston, the Pack are tasked
by the Blood & Ash to determine the cause of this "accident". Investigations
lead them to the old rival Foxhead school and together with some men from the
Blood & Ash, the Pack launch an assault. Victorious, the Pack discover a
curious brick with strange markings... could there be more behind the this than
simple School rivalry?

Gram, Druid of Nerthus
Called to the forests north of Angleston while his friends look into the Blood
& Ash mystery, Gram meets and befriends the wolf Shimmer. Together they face
three challenges set by Nerthus. Gram completes the tests and is accepted as a
druid. From this point on Gram's life will be changed forever as
his bond to nature grows.

The Mystery of the Dive Murders
After many days investigating various leads, the Pack's investigation reveals a
thieves guild war raging in the shadows of Angleston; the Shadowmen are under attack from the newer and far more sinister Night Haunts.
The murder victims were of associates of the Shadowmen, as well as a few
innocents to confuse the trail. The Pack reports the findings to Gudris at the
Adventurer's Guild and remain wary of the Night Haunts.

The Search for Bloodlust
A chance encounter in the streets of Angleston brought a peculiar ring into the
possession of the Pack. After some investigation it was determined that the
ring belonged to a missing knight, Sir Worrel, who had disappeared two weeks
ago with a particularly dangerous cursed dagger he was charged with guarding.
The dagger, called Bloodlust, contained the bound essence of a demon and was
deemed most dangerous.
The Pack eventually traced the missing knight's body to a dumping ground of bodies
known as the Fool's Graveyard. The murderer, a halfling named Lockwood, was
soon discovered but alas the dagger itself had already passed to an Elanii guard
named Peleus. Returning to the surface, the Pack stumbled into a full scale
invasion of the city by Gotar raiders. The Pack barely escape with their lives,
but eventually find Peleus and recover the dagger, which is returned to the
relative safety of the temple of Troimoira.

The House of Tisandros
When the Pack are caught up in an assassination attempt on Dunstan, Thane of
Orcs, they learn of the scheming of ancient Elanii houses and the ill treatment
of Orc and Dwarf alike.
The Pack's investigations lead them to the Tisandros family, an ancient line of
Elanii nobles with close links to the Crowned Baron. With the Tisandros out of town for a while the Pack break
into their city house. Several dead guards and many freed halfling slaves
later, the Pack uncover evidence of corrupt dealings with other Elanii and
Severus, an old adversary of Ganthor from the far north.
The crypts revealed an unhealthy obsession with undeath as the Tisandros'
ancient family member enjoyed anything but a peaceful rest. The Pack uncover
more evidence of Tisandros politics and manipulation as they are revealed to be
the force behind the attack on the Blood & Ash Gladiator School.

Dark Druids
Leaving the city for a while, the Pack investigate the lands
south of the city. After several encounters with crazed animals, they run into
Estra, a druid who has lost the pup of her own wolf companion to vile hunters.
The Pack track the hunters to a cave where they uncover a group of Dark Druids
who, for reasons known only to themselves, are sending the local animals into a
berserk state through the use of drugs. The Pack defeat the druids and their
hunters and rescue the young wolf pup before spending an enjoyable evening
around Estra's camp fire.

Goblin Raiders
Estra also mentioned that goblins had been raiding nearby farms and after
parting with the druid and her wolfish companions, the Pack investigated the
farms. Many goblins died this day as the Pack removed the threat to the nearby
farms.
But on the way back to the farms, the Pack encountered a lone goblin, Grisht, a
peaceful fellow entranced by the night sky. It seems that the goblins may have
had reason to leave their homes to raid the farms... drow, duergar and all
manner of dark things may have given them cause to do so.

Fort New Hope
Returning at last to their original reason for heading south, a series of
bandit raids on caravan routes to the south of Angleston, the Pack discover the
lair of the bandits with the help of a small boy from the nearby farms.
The Pack set about clearing the fort of it's current occupants, including a
great magical beast known as a manticore. The Pack leave the newly named Fort
New Hope in the hands of a new employ, Guy. Maybe someday the fort may make a
good base of operations...

The Skane Hammer
Exploring some dwarven ruins near to Fort New Hope, the Pack discover dwarven
spirits in a state of unquiet due to much Elanii looting. Deep within the
dwarven ruins the Pack meet the flaming spirit of a long dead dwarf who
presents
to Draegor an ancient dwarven artifact - the Skane Hammer, a weapon created to
fight elves. For Draegor, a skallgrim, bearing the hammer is both an honour and
a burden that will undoubtebly have a significant impact on his life.

The Siren Stone
Deep in the lightless underdark the party find an old drow temple. Killing it's occupants and the their leader they
discover a stone, seemingly made of jade that was cold and sickening to touch. As their flight out of the underdark
would reveal, the stone has an alarming ability to call out to the dead...

While in the Eanii High Temple, the party witness the kidnap of Axylus, high priest of Dioscur, goddess of wisdom and
prophecy by a particularly powerful drow woman

Scrying
With the aid of Awdra, a mage known to Diesa, the Pack learn that the siren stone contains souls. A plan is formulated
for a deeper scrying with the aid of Aeldra (a cleric of Troimoira) and a more powerful mage by the name of Ingram.
However, there is much to do to prepare for such a scrying...

Widower
An urgent message calls Gram back home to the forests of the Unai. But he arrives too late, his wife Ehlana is dead - a
victim to the blight of the souldark. The Unai are struggling against the rot that consumes the forest and little other
than the heart remains free of corruption. Gram returns to Angleston grim but full of new purpose.

The Flock and the Blades
While waiting for Awdra to make arrangements for the scrying, the pack look into the troubles of a group adventurers by
the name of the Flock,
lead by a woman named Sparrow. A conspiracy soon becomes apparent; with the aid of local historians and a trip to a
nearby tower, the Pack uncover evidence of the betrayal of a group of assassins known as the Blades by the old Emperor
Pasiphae.

The Pack meet at a small grove in the Adventurer's Guild to pay their last respects to their fallen comrade, Aerik.

The Dryad and Elanii invaders in Ythaldin lands
An Ythaldin ranger seeks out Frez with news that Elanii have invaded their sacred lands to the south of Angleston. On
the way the party encounter a dryad named Agalia who has been cursed by a green robed Elanii. The Pack track down and
kill the Elanii invaders, including several "dragon" magi (both green and blue) and at the top of the Ythaldin tower
meet Eldas, a long dead Ythaldin arcane archer. Here they learn much of the history of the elves and how they came to
this place from the stars... and how the evil followed them. At long last they learn it's name: Tantrika, the Souldark.

A quest for mithril
Back in Angleston once more, the wizard Ingram charges the Pack with a quest for mithril, required for the scrying
ritual. The Pack head for the ancient dwarven ruins of Runahalla.

Betrayal!
Through lizardmen and demons the party fight their way through Runahalla. Within a particularly bloody prison they find
two live prisoners; a human male fighter by the name of Lancelin, and a human female monk by the name of Wynnflaed.
These two new friends join the pack and fight side by side for many days... only to betray them upon reaching a critical
location. The two reveal themselves to be demons and summon their master, almost destroying the Pack. But they prevail,
barely. Their trust in others, however, will never be the same again.

The Pack locate an ancient dwarven forge and Draegor forges anew a the Scane Hammer into a truly formidable weapon.

The Ritual of Awakening
During a trip back to Angleston for supplies, Gram attempts an ancient druidic rite known as the Ritual of Awakening.
The ritual transforms both Shimmer and Gram, but in different ways... and leaves Gram with lingering fears of the
growing power of Fire he senses within him.

Here be dragons
Deeper into Runahalla the Pack delve, uncovering a strange race of powerful half-dragon dwarves. But ultimately the
father is what they face - a huge red dragon, Imraphel! Already weak and weary, the Pack is outclassed and all but crippled by
the dragon's fear aura. The fleet of foot monk grabs the dragon's treasure, including the sought after mithril and
together the Pack run for their lives.

Fire in Angleston
Returning to Angleston after a harrowing flight from Runahalla, the Pack return to find Imraphel has followed. And he's
not happy! With the aid of the strange wolf Ivory, the Pack manage to defeat the dragon.

Vision of a Goddess
At long last Ingram, Aeldra and the others are ready for the attempt to scry the nature of the siren stone the party
carry. Ingram's most powerful of arcane spells fail to grant any knowledge, but Aeldra's divinations call down the
avatar of her Goddess herself - Troimoira. The party learns that the siren stones are portals to a prison for souls and
that the drow hope to use this to poison the Souldark. They are wrong. A challenge to find a way to the Fugue plane in
physical form and there release the souls is accepted.

A Lady of Shadows
The Pack seek out the Lady of Shades in order to learn more of their enemies, but first have to discover where to find
her. They enter the House of Knives, a haunted place where many Shadowmen met their end in betrayal. There they meet
Lucal. The drow leads them to the Lady of Shades and the Pack learn more of the drow political structure and of Aleth
Tamlazir, the drow matron who seeks to use the siren stones.

The guard, the murdered halfling and the Tisandros
The Pack mount a raid on a Tisandros property as a response to allegations of a covered up murder by a local guard.
Instead the Pack find a near army hidden away and yet another of the dragon magi. A letter hints at more deception, but
no answers are forthcoming.

Rescued villagers
At Erling's Oak the Pack learn of the many threats to that threaten the village. Amongst them are the crazed animals that wander the area threatening local farms. The Pack travel to Torrvale and lead the villagers back to safety at Erling's Oak. In Givendale the Pack help the villagers find safety in the local barn.

Temple of Cyenwulf
Deep in Tarwood the Pack uncover a cave and within a hidden temple of Cyenwulf. The Pack clear the temple of the followers of the crazed orc god of tyranny, although only almost at the cost of all of their lives, and seal the cave.
